What the FIFA Games Have Taught Us About Peace

Everyone across America has seen the effect the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has had on us over the past month and a half. From Europe to Japan, people from all over the world have traveled to America to watch exciting soccer matches, rooting for their favorite teams and building lasting relationships and memories with one another.

Now, you might question why we are talking about the effects of soccer games. Here's our answer: with so many people coming to the U.S. and enjoying food like Texas BBQ and Dutch Bros, we have learned that peace is possible. We have learned that peace is within all of us when we enjoy each other's company and time together.

Even though the final matches are upon us, what can we learn from this amazing experience, even if we didn't watch the games ourselves? We have seen friendships form, lasting memories that will live on in our hearts for the rest of our lives, and we have borne witness to the coming together of people from all parts of the world. We are reminded that every one of us bleeds the same color, that we each have hearts, and that we have so much love to give. AMBFII wants you to remember that peace is possible. Unity is possible. Joy and happiness are possible if only we wish them to be.

By coming together to celebrate each other's different cultures, we have gathered so much wisdom from one another. But how can we make it last? By getting to know each other for all we are, we can come together and begin to heal our divided world. Maybe we can one day find out that we aren't so divided after all.

You can pray for peace here, and we will place your prayer at the Western Wall in Israel!
